Man Yuk (Mellody) Chan is originally from Shenzhen, China. She is currently in Chicago, mainly focused on designed objects and printmaking. While creating artwork, she is always inspired by the news about local and global contemporary events. She believes art is amazing at bringing people together while bringing problems to the surface. For her, objects, drawings and prints all have the same power to convey messages. The playfulness of all different mediums allow her to communicate with audiences.
